People without people

William Gibson once suggested a writing exercise where you write about people from a photo without people in it. I've been imagining that photo ever since. 


Time travelers doing how we do. 


 A French guy in a kiva in the Chilean desert with a bunch of telescopes told me that when we look into the sky, we're not looking through space, but through time. That's the same starlight that falls on the earth and all of us.
